The Global Outreach Consortium, a non-governmental organisation, has kicked started a 12-week long mask wearing campaign dubbed “Reward a Mask Wearer Campaign”.
The campaign, targeted at rewarding identifiable mask wearers in some selected markets in Accra and Tema, is aimed at encouraging mask wearing among traders and buyers at designated markets as part of efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.
To this end, members of the Global Outreach Consortium, have been grouped into reward teams, tasked with the responsibility of randomly visiting selected markets to identify and reward individuals found to have properly masked up.

Some markets earmarked for the campaign programme, include Kaneshie, Dansoman, Osu and Labadi, all in Accra.
The selected markets in Tema, comprise Communities 9 and 7.
