In as much as the various insurance for health is widespread and common, it does not cover everything in the health sector, as such, some people are not able to afford medical treatments and battle their ill health as the complication worsens.
Individuals with a common vision of aiding these people and providing healthcare support came together and birthed Global Outreach Consortium (GOC). It is a locally-based NGO with the aim of providing complete healthcare to the underprivileged in their communities, through health education and promotion, screening, consultations and surgeries.

Since its birth, it has completed 18 outreaches in the Greater Accra Region, Ashanti Region and Northern Region in Ghana.

In recent past, the NGO partnered with the BRAIN project Africa, The Rebecca foundation and volunteer surgeons from Germany with support from GCB Bank Ltd., NIB Bank Ltd. and NAM mission to provide free surgical interventions to 210 Ghanaians out of about 1500 people who needed surgery screened in various health facilities in Ghana. These interventions included laboratory work up, imaging, anesthesia, surgical procedure and post-op medications.

It is our goal to continue to support the many out there who cannot afford the cost through mobilization of funds from corporate bodies and philanthropic individuals. Other activities we engage in to promote health and total well-being are health education campaigns, screening, consultations and surgeries.

The NGO started with 3 members, the Executive Director, Managing Director (both in the medical field) and Secretary. It has grown to an 8-member group with volunteer workers.
The cost of its activities is fully funded by donors.

We plan to carry out our mission in all regions in Ghana, cities and towns and extend to support other African countries at large.
