Global Outreach Consortium with support from its major donor, GCB Bank Ltd donated over GHC 500,000 worth of surgical and medical items to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
KBTH is Ghana’s premier tertiary hospital that serves a greater part of the Ghanaian population and some citizens from neighboring countries. Most health complications are managed by healthcare givers in this facility. However, some patients are not able to afford the cost of their management.
In view of this, Global Outreach Consortium, with a mission of providing complete healthcare to the underprivileged in society donated these items to be used for these patients thereby reducing their cost of management to the barest minimum. The medical supplies included items useful in Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Accidents & Emergency, Family Medicine, Laboratory, Plastic Surgery and Urology departments.
